Watsessing Splash Park
The splash pad at Watsessing Park in East Orange is perfect for hot days with plenty of water features for kids to enjoy. Dozens of ground jets spray water in timed sequences, and there are overhead sprayers and buckets that dump water periodically.
A covered pavilion with picnic tables offers shade for parents and a spot to snack between splash sessions. The surface is nonslip rubber, and the area is fully fenced so little ones can't wander off.
The splash park is typically open from late May through early September, weather permitting. On-site restrooms and changing rooms make it easy to clean up afterward, and the adjacent playground equipment offers dry fun once everyone is ready to towel off.
